NPA has a fulltime General Practitioner vacancy, which is a targeted recruitment location under the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS).
RVTS is a vocational training program for medical practitioners in communities throughout remote and rural Australia.
As a targeted recruitment location, training is fully funded by the Australian Government and the four-year training program is delivered by Distance Education and Remote Supervision to Fellowship of the ACRRM and/or RACGP.
This location has been nominated under the RVTS Targeted Recruitment campaign which allows successful candidates to be eligible to apply for potential salary support.

At the heart of the organisation is the Primary Health Care Centre at Injinoo, an accredited General Practice, delivering services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

About the Opportunity
This organisation is looking for a General Practitioner to work within a cohesive and integrated team. The General Practitioner provides a high standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach towards diagnosis and management of illness. This position will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and disease prevention, working in collaboration with local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Medicine with current unrestricted specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* AHPRA Registration – General.
* Current Medical Indemnity Insurance.
* Experience in or a demonstrated commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes.
* Willingness and ability to accommodate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values and traditions including willingness to take advice from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
It is a condition of employment for this position that the employee be vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the Workers in a Healthcare Setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction.
