Tasks and Qualifications:
The Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing our client's equipment, troubleshooting equipment faults, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the performance of Dematic systems and products.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Electrical applicants: Unrestricted Electrical License (Australian recognized)
* Mechanical applicants: Mechanical trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade preferred)
* Restricted electrical licence: Desirable but not essential (Dematic support to obtain)
* Willingness to learn software-based applications
* Mechanical maintenance experience is mandatory
* Experience in automation (conveyors & sortation systems) is an advantage
* Experience in pneumatic systems
* Experience in computerized maintenance systems (JDE, MEX, or similar)
* Understanding of OH&S requirements
* PLC experience/exposure in S7 and SCADA is an advantage
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in cold/freezer environments
Roster Pattern:
* Day Shift: 5.30 am – 1.30 pm
* Afternoon Shift: 3.00 pm – 11:00 pm - 15% loading
* Weekend overtime opportunities available + on call
Responsibilities:
You will be working in a team environment to maintain and troubleshoot equipment. This includes performing routine preventative maintenance tasks, identifying and resolving mechanical issues and participating in continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
* Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australian recognized) or a relevant trade qualification
* Previous experience in maintenance or mechanical roles is highly regarded
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
