Spanish-Speaking Support Worker – Aged Care
Location: Werrington, NSW 2747
Start: Immediate
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Spanish-speaking Support Worker to support an aged care client in Werrington, NSW.
Please only apply if you can speak Spanish fluently. Applications without Spanish language skills will not be considered.
Shift Details:
* Wednesday: 5 hours (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
* Friday: 3 hours (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
* Client Type: Aged Care
* Start: Immediate
* Pay Rate: Competitive, with an increase after 3 months
Work Includes (SAH-Aligned Duties):
Domestic Assistance
* Cleaning kitchen areas including benches, sink, dishes, and appliances (external surfaces only)
* Bathroom cleaning including toilet, shower, vanity, and mirrors
* Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
* Dusting flat surfaces in living areas and bedrooms
* Changing bed linen if requested and clean linen is available
* Light laundry assistance such as washing, folding, or hanging clothes (as per care plan)
* Emptying household rubbish bins
* Leaving the home clean, tidy, and safe at the end of the shift
Social Support / Companionship
* Providing companionship and emotional support
* Engaging in friendly conversation and social interaction
* Participating in light activities such as board games, card games, puzzles, or reminiscing
* Supporting the client's emotional wellbeing and reducing social isolation
* Respecting the client's preferences, energy levels, and personal boundaries
* Offering alternative companionship activities if the client prefers not to participate in games
Mandatory Requirements:
Applicants must have all of the following:
* 100 Points of ID
* National Police Check
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Certificate of Registration / AHPRA Registration (if applicable)
* Certificate of Currency
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
About You:
* Fluent in Spanish
* Experience in aged care or support work
* Reliable, respectful, and professional
* Able to follow care plans and SAH guidelines
* Available to start immediately
