About the Role
The Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) leads nursing and midwifery services across acute, subacute, and specialist clinical areas, overseeing strategic planning, hospital rounds, escalations, and acting as the professional lead for nursing and midwifery services. You support the Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery and Nurse Unit Managers, and work collaboratively with the Director of Medical Services, General Manager, and executive team, receiving ongoing support from the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate.

Tamworth Hospital serves over 180,000 people as the principal referral hospital for the northern sector of Hunter New England Local Health District. It offers emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, critical care, mental health, rehabilitation, and outpatient services, and is a teaching facility affiliated with the University of Newcastle.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
