Responsibilities
The Level 3 Speech Pathologist will be a valued member of the Admitted Speech Pathology team and will provide clinical services to the Swallowing & Voice Outpatient Clinic and support skill development in the admitted team.
Experience in advanced practice skills in FEES, VFSS, laryngectomy/tracheostomy is desirable.
This role includes participating in the weekend roster for the Admitted Speech Pathology service.
Qualifications
Candidate must provide evidence of the following in their application:
* Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Demonstrated experience and competency to provide evidence‐based clinical practices in the assessment, diagnosis and management of complex swallowing and voice disorders relevant to the clinical population of AWH, including advanced practice areas such as tracheostomy, laryngectomy, Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) and videofluoroscopy.
* Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in the advocacy of patient‐centred care and resolution of conflict.
* Demonstrated commitment to and leadership of quality and safety improvement activities.
* Demonstrated ability to manage personal workload including waitlist prioritisation.
* Demonstrated commitment to own professional development.
Employment Type
This is a permanent part‐time opportunity (24 hours a week).
Salary and Terms
Salary and terms will be in accordance with the relevant state EBA or Award.
