Overview
Amani Tiling Contractors Pty Ltd is a family-owned business with a strong reputation in the building and construction industry. Our office is home based in Benowa. We are looking for an honest, friendly and organised office assistant to join our small team. The role is perfect for those who prefer school hours or a friendly family schedule. Our office is a casual and relaxed environment.
What the role involves
* Assist in managing emails
* Communicate via email and phone to our trades people out on site
* Cross checking workers timesheets against work schedules
* Ordering/Following up with suppliers on tile orders (occasionally)
* Keep track/check invoice received from suppliers
* Assisting Admin/Accounts receivable with invoices or step into the role when required
* Be a go to support person for both the office team and our trades people
What we are looking for
* Immediate start
* Australian citizen or permanent resident only
* Previous administration experience – at least 1 year
* Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience with Xero software (invoicing, reconciliation in Xero) or willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently while supporting a small team
* (We are not looking for anyone that is overqualified as this is a basic role. Anyone with a university degree or accounting degree need not apply)
Hours required and location
Monday to Friday, within school hours. (15-20 hours per week)
This will increase to 25 hours per week to cover maternity leave (from Feb 2026) with a pay increase during this period.
