With over 100 years of excellence in education, we are proud to be training the next generation of medical scientists who will be leading members of the medical and health research community with an innovative integrated curriculum. Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education) who will apply their learnings through research and scholarly activity to inform their education practice. They make significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, education design and evaluation, and will be on a trajectory towards educational leadership. They will dedicate the majority of their contribution to teaching (up to 70% - 80%).Your key responsibilities will be to:undertake independent teaching in disciplines within medical sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, immunology, and pathology, and healthcare more broadly, contributing to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomesengage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the University's expectations and standards for educationdesign and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirementscontribute to the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary units and content, as well as work-integrated learningundertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.About youdoctorate or PhD in a relevant fielda developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholdersdemonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesexperience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by participation in team teaching and teaching in a variety of settingsdemonstrates a commitment to professionalism in learning and teaching by completing or working towards Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellowship or similara background in anatomy, biochemistry or experience in health behavioural change are highly desirableexperience in conducting original research and/or engaging in scholarly activityability to communicate effectively.Sponsorship / work rights forAustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
