The successful candidate will lead delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services aligned with the Family Law Act, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure accountability through direct reporting.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Oversee delivery of family dispute resolution services across North Queensland
* Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for a multidisciplinary team
* Deliver (as required) family dispute resolution services in line with accreditation
* Ensure full compliance with AG's Department reporting, quality, and risk standards
* Manage waitlists, service performance, and strategic program improvement
* Represent in collaborative networks and sector forums
* Maintain trauma-informed, child-focused, culturally safe service delivery
Required qualifications include an Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Law, or Family Dispute Resolution, and significant experience leading services within family law, social services, or dispute resolution.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong understanding of the Family Law Act and sector funding/reporting obligations, experience delivering or overseeing dispute resolution services and leading multidisciplinary teams, high-level written and verbal communication skills, resilience to handle complaints, complexity, and regulatory accountability, empathy and emotional intelligence, and a collaborative, strengths-based leadership style that blends empathy with clear direction and empowers your team.
