AWX is partnering with a well-established busy Restaurant/Café in Perth, and we are now looking for an exceptional and talented Full-Time Head Chef to join the team. Located on the beautiful beach in Bunbury, Perth, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner this role will keep you busy and challenged.
Our Head Chef will bring confidence, flavour, and control to the kitchen. In this role, you'll be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to great food and memorable service.
You'll be hands-on in food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the leaders motivate and support the team through service. This role will only suit a professional who thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in their craft, and value collaboration and consistency.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes from our menu to the highest standards
* Ensuring all food preparation and cooking tasks are completed efficiently and consistently
* Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
* Designated Food Handling Supervisor
* Adhering to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
* Assisting with menu planning and development when required
* Ordering and stock rotation
* Training kitchen brigade of all levels as required
* Demonstrating a hands-on work ethic, can-do attitude, and the ability to multitask
* Ensuring smooth and organised kitchen operations during service
* Maintaining clear communication with the front-of-house team
* Being honest, reliable, positive, and dedicated to service excellence
* Working autonomously as well as part of a team
We're On the Lookout For
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef
* Food Safety Supervisor qualification
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* A hands-on, team-first approach
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
What We Offer
* $90,000 - $95,000 gross per year
