About the opportunity
The Victorian Government’s North East Link Program is Victoria’s biggest road project, designed to connect the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels, reducing local traffic and travel times, and enhancing community spaces and transport links.
The project involves major upgrades, including new express lanes, Melbourne’s first dedicated busway, and new park and ride facilities, in collaboration with North East Link Program, Symal, Arcadis, and WSP.
About the role
We are seeking a Health And Safety Advisor to join the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance, supporting the implementation of the Health & Safety Management Plan and ensuring project safety outcomes.
Key responsibilities
1. Assist in implementing the Health and Safety Management Plan and sub-plans.
2. Support the development of the EBTA culture and uphold alliance values.
3. Collaborate with health and safety teams to monitor and support safety requirements.
4. Address OHS challenges proactively through engagement.
5. Conduct incident investigations and reports.
6. Facilitate risk assessment workshops and planning forums.
7. Ensure OHS standards are understood and upheld across the alliance.
About you
1. Diploma in OHS or working towards one, with infrastructure experience preferred.
2. ICAM lead investigator training is a plus.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and interpreting project documents.
4. Technical knowledge in OHS and strong communication skills.
5. Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
6. Understanding of emotional intelligence.
