# **Why this role matters**The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs. Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.The Bridge Program is a Tasmania-wide service for help overcoming and recovering from addictions related to Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs. There are 12 residential beds and four transitional units. The centre is close to St John's Park and is set on six acres of grounds, with a community garden, arts centre, gymnasium and commercial kitchen.# **About the role**We are searching for a compassionate and proactive AOD After Hours Support Worker who is deeply committed to making a difference. In this vital role, you'll provide after-hours support to the residents of the Bridge Program, offering guidance and care during their most challenging moments. You'll also work closely with a dedicated team of case workers to ensure residents feel supported and respected, while upholding the program's policies and procedures. Your work will be crucial in helping residents find hope and stability during their journey.Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this is a casual position based in New Town, Tasmania.
