**About the Team**
The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We're working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.
Within SER we have the Regulatory Operations Branch which includes the Vehicle Safety Directorate which achieves Safer Vehicles outcomes by delivering effective, efficient and innovative vehicle safety and compliance programs, and partnering with key stakeholders to drive regulatory readiness for emerging vehicle technologies, and automated and alternative fuel vehicles.
This includes managing registers for vehicle registration, identification and sanctions.
Vehicle manufacturers need to adopt new and proven safety technologies and drivers need Safer Vehicles access to the safest vehicles, to build a safer vehicle fleet and reduce the risk and seriousness of crashes. The regulatory vehicle safety system helps to:
- Ensure only roadworthy and compliant vehicles operate on the NSW road network
- Encourage consumer uptake of the safest new and used vehicles.
**The opportunity**
This role is responsible for providing project and operational support across the Vehicle Safety Team which includes responsibility for coordinating day-to-day project management, briefs, documentation, supporting relevant activities within the Directorate and data analysis.
You will be assisting and providing information regarding the activities of the team, monitoring finance and procurement and ensuring that governance is adhered to.
You will liase with each of the Managers in the team on projects and activities and you will be collaborating closely with them and the wider business to support the technical activites and future scope of works.

**About you**
We are looking for a proactive, team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders internal and external to Transport for NSW, and particularly across a variety of operational areas including Finance, Procurement, Safety and Governance.
You will be a problem solver and have strong research and analysis skills with the ability to present information in a logical and coherent manner.
A background in, or experience in the use of a variety of management information systems, finance, procurement, contract and project management systems as well as the ability to use Objective is essential.
Ideally you will have Project management skills and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team while managing multiple projects concurrently.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7 ($108,770 - $121,822) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
