About the Opportunity:
The Extended Hours Program Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering essential after-hours activities and services to young people in various communities.
This position supports the wellbeing and engagement of youth through diverse range of activities, including after-hours programs, school holiday events, cultural camps, and family-based events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the Extended Hours Program, ensuring young people have a voice in design and delivery.
* Lead dynamic leadership for program participants and junior Youth Workers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
* Maintain regular communication with local First Nations and Elders to discuss community aspirations and promote local culture.
* Support comprehensive extended hours program and school holiday program, including family nights and overnight camps.
* Promote partnerships and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective program delivery.
The successful candidate will possess experience as a Youth Worker, with project and team leadership experience. A demonstrated respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures is essential.
