Job Title: Courts Building Coordinator
Job Description
This role is part of the building management team responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of three high-profile buildings in the Brisbane courts precinct. The position involves managing contracts, leases, and stakeholder relationships to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract Management: Oversee the provision of cleaning services, manage contractor performance, and provide regular reporting to senior managers.
* Lease Management: Negotiate and manage leases/subleases with businesses within the precinct, act as the initial point of contact, review proposed lease amendments, and draft memorandums for approval.
* Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with building occupants, government departments, contractors, and court users.
* Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating building-related projects and works, manage daily maintenance, and deliver solutions on time, to standard, and within budget.
* Corporate Governance: Draft briefs and documents for executive audiences, retain and record business decisions, and ensure consistency with relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
* Procurement and Budget Management: Procure goods, services, and equipment, assist in managing operational and capital budgets, identify gaps or surpluses in allocated funds, and implement opportunities for budgetary savings and continuous improvement.
* Workplace Health and Safety: Provide advice on workplace health and safety and fire safety, manage emergency control organizations, and coordinate activity across the precinct in compliance with relevant acts and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. They will have experience in contract management, lease administration, and stakeholder engagement, as well as knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
