Health Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly motivated health professional to join our team in the BMA Broadmeadow HSS unit.
This position requires technical expertise in injury prevention, management and return-to-work processes. The role involves coordinating case management with workers' compensation providers, medical and allied health professionals and stakeholders.
* Coordinate injury prevention and management initiatives.
* Develop suitable duties plans and associated documents.
* Lead behavioural-based Field Leadership observations, offering support and technical guidance underpinned by a culture of care.
* Maintain health enterprise systems, data integrity and document management.
* Support site medical services, including paramedics, EAP, physiotherapy and occupational physicians.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating case management with external agencies.
* Providing technical expertise in injury prevention and management.
* Liaising with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with various levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.
They should have experience working in large complex environments, preferably within mining or heavy industry, with underground operational experience an advantage.
An intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office is also required.
About You
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
* A Bachelor's degree in a health-related or science discipline.
* Registration with APHRA or ESSA or similarly related registration (e.g. OHS, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, registered nurse, psychology, human movements, ergonomics, human factors).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ideal experience working in a large complex environment within mining or heavy industry, with underground operational experience preferred.
* Intermediate skills in MS Office suite.
* Working knowledge of Queensland workers' compensation process, and RRTWC course completion.
* Knowledge of QLD coal mining health and safety legislation.
* Bachelor's degree in a health-related or science discipline, ideally with experience working in a large complex environment within mining or heavy industry, with underground operational experience preferred.
