Responsibilities:
* Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, switchgear, motors, lighting, and control panels.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults, collaborating with the maintenance team and electrical superintendent to resolve complex issues.
* Perform repairs and overhauls on motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, and other electrical components.
* Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, and diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal performance.
* Support instrument technicians in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and testing to meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills required:
* Certificate III in Electrical Technology (unrestricted QLD Electrical License essential).
* Proven experience in installation, fault-finding, and repair of electrical equipment.
* Experience within construction projects
* LVR/CPR certification (required)
* Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights (desirable)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
