Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
* Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business goals.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements, and financial reporting standards.
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
* Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and oversee investment activities.
* Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and key stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
* Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Financial Controller, Finance Director, or similar leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements in Australia.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or SAP).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CPA certification is essential).
