Details: The Assistant Director, WHS plays an essential role in supporting the Directorate’s commitment to a healthy and safe workplace.
Including identifying, developing, implementing, and improving health and safety systems and practices to meet the Directorate’s legislative, compliance and organisational objectives and minimising risk in the workplace.
The Assistant Director WHS provides professional advice to foster and maintain a safety and wellbeing culture by assisting and supporting the Directorate’s Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Management System, wellbeing initiatives and activities.
The Assistant Director will be highly organised, self-motivated, and responsive to business needs and requirements and show initiative, sound judgement, and develop productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Qualifications in Work Health and Safety with 3+ years of operational experience is highly desirable.
* iCAMS for lead investigators (desirable)
Notes: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
