Position summary
Join a trailblazing ASX-listed drug development company as a Senior Formulation Chemist, where you will be at the forefront of pioneering treatments in the neuropsychiatry domain. In this permanent role, you will lead clinical formulation development programmes and oversee chemistry manufacturing and controls (CMC) activities. About the role
* Manage and lead the company's clinical formulation development programs, ensuring alignment with scientific, regulatory, and commercial objectives.
* Oversee chemistry manufacturing and controls (CMC) activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with Australian and international research institutes, universities, and commercial research organizations to drive innovation and achieve project goals.
* Work closely with the clinical team and various consultants to ensure efficient and timely progress of projects.
* Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, providing updates on project status and strategic recommendations.
* Utilize expertise in drug development and commercialization to contribute to the advancement of treatments in the neuropsychiatry field.
* Maintain strong communication with key CMC and regulatory consultants and other stakeholders to build rapport and credibility.
* Ensure the preparation and submission of scientific publications and detailed project reports as lead author.
* Adapt to remote working arrangements if necessary, while being available for domestic and international travel as required.
About the candidate
* Ph.D. or equivalent in chemistry, formulation, or pharmaceutical sciences.
* Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience in academia and/or industry.
* Proven track record of outstanding written and verbal communication, including scientific publications and detailed project reports as lead author.
* Ability to build rapport and credibility with key CMC and regulatory consultants and other stakeholders.
* Interest in drug development and commercialisation.
* Attention to detail and desire to succeed.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
* Experience in drug substance and drug product formulation and/or manufacturing.
* Experience in the regulatory aspects of CMC.
* Background in Neuroscience and medicinal chemistry.
* Strong communication skills.
