About The Opportunity
Uniting Preschool Murwillumbah operates during school terms and our warm and welcoming service offers stimulating indoor and outdoor environments. Our programs are designed to inspire your child's desire to learn, embracing purposeful play and group activities that encourage their curiosity, confidence, creativity and self‑expression.
Contract Overview
This is a 6‑month contract seeking two part-time educators to share the role across the week. For example, one educator will work 2 days per week and the other 3 days per week.
What You'll Be Doing In This Role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you'll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
Your Care Work May Include
* Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
* Develop positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
* Facilitate play‑based learning environments that are responsive to children's interest, strengths and abilities.
* Document children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
Who We're Looking For
* Diploma in Children Services (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
* A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
* Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
* Adaptability, empathy, resourcefulness and alignment with Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
