We're now looking for an experienced and driven Financial Controller – Operations to join our growing team and lead the Operations Finance function for our Retirement Living villages across Australia.
About the role
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving financial excellence across Levande’s retirement village operations. You’ll lead a high-performing finance team focused on delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that underpins decision-making and supports the strategic direction of the business.
You'll partner closely with the Operations team, wider Finance function, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance financial systems, improve processes, and ensure strong compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
Key responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end Operations Finance including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational cash flow management across multiple sites.
* Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights, performance analysis and scenario modelling.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant Retirement Village legislation in all states.
* Oversee and enhance financial systems and internal controls to support scalability and efficiency.
* Coordinate external audits and engage with investors and regulators as needed.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to broader transformation projects across Finance.
* Provide leadership and coaching to a team of finance professionals across various locations.
About you
You’re a strategic finance leader with strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to drive business performance through insight and partnership. You’re hands-on, adaptable, and passionate about making a meaningful contribution in a purpose-led organisation.
You’ll also bring :
* Significant experience in financial control, operational finance, and reporting across multi-site environments (e.g. retirement living, hospitality, or aged care).
* Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor and guide finance teams.
* Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability (D365 experience highly regarded).
* A detail-oriented, “can do” mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
