Contracts administration manager

Sydney
Altus Traffic Australia
Administration manager
Posted: 12 February
Offer description

At Altus, safety is at the core of everything we do. We partner with main road authorities, councils, and public and private sector clients to deliver over 5 million hours of traffic management services annually, supported by a growing national workforce.

We live and breathe our values: Protecting the Protectors, Be the Benchmark, Get It Done, Make an Impact, Grow.

About the Role

Altus is seeking a forward-thinking and proactive Contracts Administration Manager to lead the effective management of client contractual requirements, reporting obligations, and compliance activities.

This is more than just a compliance role; we are looking for a process-driven leader to modernise how we work. You will be responsible for ensuring that all contract reporting is delivered to clients with clinical accuracy and efficiency. Critically, you will spearhead the evolution of our administration functions by identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and AI-tooled workflows to streamline our operations.

This position suits a 'digitally native' professional who enjoys structure and accuracy but is also passionate about leveraging modern systems to move away from manual processing toward high-tech, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Process Innovation: Lead the improvement of contract administration processes by identifying and implementing AI tools and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual handling.
* Contract Oversight: Manage the end-to-end administration of client contracts, ensuring all obligations are identified, met and maintained.
* Reporting Excellence: Oversee the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of customised client reports, ensuring Altus remains the benchmark for reliability.
* System Management: Maintain and optimise contract and reporting registers using modern digital tools.
* Data Integrity: Collect, validate, and consolidate complex data sets from multiple internal and external sources to ensure a single source of truth.
* Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks associated with contract compliance or reporting deadlines.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal operational teams and external stakeholders to ensure all contract deliverables are met and expectations exceeded.
* Leadership: Provide high-level coordination and guidance to the broader operations and sales teams regarding reporting standards and digital workflows.
About You
* Digitally Native: You have a natural affinity for technology and a genuine interest in how modern systems and AI can solve traditional business challenges.
* System Savvy: Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) automation tools and modern ERP/contract management software.
* Analytical & Accurate: High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering flawless client reporting.
* Problem Solver: A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement—you don't just follow processes; you make them better.
* Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear reports.
* Experienced: Previous experience in contracts administration, reporting, or compliance management within a fast-paced operational environment.
* Organised: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing competing priorities with ease.
Culture and Benefits
* Industry Leader: Join a company with an unwavering commitment to safety and innovation.
* Impactful Work: The opportunity to shape the digital future of our national contract administration.
* Values-Driven: A supportive team culture that celebrates being the benchmark.
* Wellbeing: Fun and engaging safety and wellbeing initiatives.
* Recognition: Birthday and anniversary recognition and a weekly pay cycle.
* Community: Active contributor to the SHAKA Project, SARAH Group, and National Road Safety Week.
* Professional Growth: Real opportunities for continued learning and career advancement.
