Role: Project Manager – Social Impact (Integrated Services)
Location: Flexible location | Hybrid options available
Employment Type: 12 months Fixed term, Full-time
Our Role:
At Goodstart Early Learning, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life.
We are seeking a Project Manager for our integrated services to help us turn bold ideas into action — designing and delivering initiatives that advance Goodstart’s social purpose, influence policy, and improve outcomes for children and families across Australia.
Reporting to the Head of Social Policy, and collaborating closely with the National Lead, Social inclusion you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects, including but not limited to integrated service models, place-based innovation, funding partnerships, government engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. You’ll bring people together across Goodstart and beyond to help create systems and supports that work better for children, families and communities.
Your Impact:
In this role, you’ll translate strategy into action by aligning teams across Goodstart and external partners, including government, community organisations, and philanthropic funders to bring Goodstart’s Social Impact Strategy to life. Acting as a connector between strategy and delivery, you will:
* Lead projects that enable cross-sector collaboration across education, health and social services
* Ensure effective implementation and governance of integrated models
* Represent Goodstart in forums and networks to amplify our reputation as a social impact leader
* Coordinate project teams and resources, manage timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements
* Manage the design and delivery of service models at multiple sites nationally, tailoring each approach to its local context
* Contribute flexibly across a responsive and fast-moving team, adapting to shifting priorities and emerging opportunities
* Support a diverse range of additional social policy and advocacy initiatives as needed within the broader team
* Keep children’s outcomes at the centre, embedding safety, equity and inclusion across all workstreams
What Goodstart can offer you:
* Flexible work arrangements giving you choice about when and how work will be done in order to better manage your work and non-work needs
* Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging benefits which reduce your taxable income to increase take home pay
* Access to discounted childcare (up to 15%)
* Fitness Passport - access to gyms and pools for you and your family at a heavily discounted price
* Discounted health care and access to employee wellbeing program with BUPA
* Exclusive discounts on travel, gym memberships, Apple and Dell products, and more.
* Free annual flu shot (optional)
* Option to purchase extra leave for even greater work life balance
* First Nations Support and Cultural Leave
* Work for a company that has an aspiration to be globally recognised for early years practice and learning outcomes
* Gain significant investment in your growth and development with support, tools, training and experiences that will truly enhance the progress and outcomes for children in their earliest years.
About you:
You're a smart operator who can switch comfortably between strategic thinking and practical delivery. You're confident in complexity, thrive on collaboration, and bring structure to ambiguity. You enjoy making things happen - and doing it in service of something bigger than yourself.
You’ll bring:
* 2-5 years’ experience in human services, education, health or community sectors
* A track record of successfully working across multiple stakeholders and sectors – including government, not-for-profit, and funders
* Skills in project planning, coordination, and governance, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong communication and relationship skills – you know how to read a room, connect with people, and bring others on the journey
* Valid Working with Children Check card & National Police Check
Desirable :
* Proficiency in using project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana or similar platforms
* Tertiary qualifications in social services, public policy, project management or a related discipline
* Experience with place-based approaches, early years development or integrated service delivery models
