Contract Type: Permanent/Ongoing Position Part Time (0.86 FTE)

St Clare’s Primary School Officer is seeking to employ an Education Support Officer to commence at the beginning of the 2026 School year.
.Must have current Working with Children Card. Part time position, 5 days per week 8.30am to 3.30pm (preference to those candidates available 5 days per week)

Our Education Support Officers work as part of a holistic team consisting of the Learning Adjustment Leader, members of the Learning Support Team, students and families. The aim is to assist the Learning Group Teachers with the role of educating all children.

Responsibilities

* Prepare aids, materials and/or resources for use in classes.
* Carry out work in accordance with the specialised methods, procedures and processes developed from previous operations.
* Work with the Learning Group Teacher to meet the goals whilst also acting as the support person to the students.
* Provide assistance to the Learning Group Teacher by working with the students in small groups or individually (either in the classroom or outside the classroom).
* Maintain records of students’ progress and performance.
* Communicate the progress of students to the Learning Group Teachers and Learning Adjustment Leaders.
* Attend special sessions conducted by LST staff or contract professionals (e.g. speech therapist) where requested by the Learning Adjustment Leader or the Specialist.
* Attend excursions and outings where students require assistance.

Hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm - 5 days per week (preference to those candidates available to work 5 days per week)

Classification and payrates as per Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022
