We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer, Civil for a full-time role.
You will be a valued senior member of our civil team and responsible for design and documentation from the schematic stage through to detailed documentation of a wide range of Civil projects with a large focus of our Land Development.
The Role
In this role you can expect to be working largely on Land Development projects and associated infrastructure including the feasibility and studies or optioneering, to planning and into detailed design, delivery and construction of 1000+ lot greenfield site, heavily constrained urban infill and brownfield sites and strata subdivision developments. Key focus on design elements including, earthworks and retaining wall design, sewer & water reticulation and stormwater drainage as well as road design.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Develop and deliver detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD and either 12D or Civil 3D software. Where you will design and document your own projects in a project team.
Coordinate with clients, external consultants, internal engineers, civil designers, and draftspersons for the documentation and delivery of projects.
Planning and completion of design projects within agreed budgets and deadlines.
Leadership and mentoring of younger staff to help develop, grow and lead our team.
Motivation and desire to grow into a Design Lead role.
About You
This is a full-time position and requires a self-motivated, team orientated individual, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key skills and experience we are looking for include:
Relevant industry experience, ideally 5+ years'
Proficiency in using AutoCAD, 12D software, and or Civil 3D.
A sound knowledge of construction methods and health and safety regulations.
Preferred previous experience working with local councils and authorities to deliver projects.
Strong design capabilities and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes and local government authorities.
Autonomous design skills and decision making processes to move projects forward.
Experience within a consultancy environment will be highly regarded.
Ability to work within a fast paced, dynamic team environment.
TAFE qualification - Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree or similar equivalent industry experience.
