About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide support and security to the patients, visitors and staff within the Emergency Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The position is a component of a new model of service delivery. As well as performing routine security duties, the Security Staff will form part of the clinical team, with a special emphasis on frontline customer service and building relationships with patients and their relatives.
This role may rotate into the general security roster at the end of the 12 month contract. The position is based on a 24/7 rotating roster.

1. Security Licence Class 1A Security Industry Licence and current Senior First Aid Certificate.
2. Current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
3. Ability to perform shift work on a rotating basis.

About working for SLHD
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
