Indigenous Education Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Indigenous Education Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our Indigenous students.
About the Role
The Indigenous Education Specialist will work closely with teachers, students, and families to develop culturally relevant educational programs and mentor and support Indigenous students to encourage participation and achievement in the classroom.
* Mentor and support Indigenous students to foster their confidence and achieve academic success.
* Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, particularly those at risk of disengagement.
* Work closely with the local Indigenous community to facilitate their involvement in shaping school policies and programs.

Eligibility
* You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* You must obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* You must consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
