Project Manager – The Strand Revitalisation
A leading government authority in the Northern Beaches region is seeking a highly experienced and self‐sufficient Project Manager to lead the revitalisation of The Strand, adjacent to Dee Why Beach. This is a critical civil infrastructure and streetscape project requiring end‐to‐end management from design through to construction.
Contract & Remuneration
* 12‐month contract, with a robust likelihood of extension to two years.
* Competitive rate (PAYG or Pty LTD options).
Role
* Manage the full project lifecycle of key civil works and streetscape upgrades.
* Coordinate design for streetscape works, including negotiation during the initial 3–4 month design phase.
* Manage procurement and oversee construction, focusing on civil works such as curb, gutter, and drainage, along with minor landscaping.
* Lead community consultation and manage relationships with key stakeholders, particularly local shopkeepers.
* Directly manage and look after external consultants and contractors on site.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil works, streetscape, or similar infrastructure projects.
* Self‐sufficient, experienced PM capable of managing the project independently.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate both consultants (design) and contractors (construction).
* Must hold Australian work rights and local experience.
