The Role
We are looking for an experienced Underground Service Locator who has advanced technical knowledge and high-quality standards to join our rapidly growing and agile team of experts.
CSA Specialised Services is an industry leader dedicated to providing utility damage prevention services for projects across the civil industry specialising in subsurface detection and proactive planning, with the management of risk and safety being at the forefront of our values.
We offer a permanent, full-time position with a highly competitive base hourly rates and company supplied vehicle, whilst offering a proven commitment to ongoing training and you will be working with industry-leading technology.
The successful candidate will need to show evidence of experience, DBYD Accreditation (if obtained) and have some years of experience in a dedicated utility locating role.
Your professionalism and confidence in your ability will be on display whilst you manage Tier 1-3 clients along with government clients.
Duties and responsibilities for the role will include (but are not limited to):
- Locating underground utilities and marking to AS5488 - 2013 Classification of Subsurface Utility Information (SUI), using required spray paints, flags and other methods as needed
- Working on high profile projects as well as job sites
- Reading and understanding utility maps, plans, and aerial imagery to assist in identification of underground assets
- Operating Ground Penetrating Radar
- Geo Spatial Surveying and data recording
Skills and Experience:
- Dial Before You Dig accreditation (highly desired, not essential)
- Experience in Underground Utility Locating
- Use subsurface technologies including the operation and maintenance of equipment such as EM-Wands, SONDE, Ground Radar and CCTV
- Familiarity with Survey equipment including RTK GPS and Total Station, experience with Trimble equipment, Autodesk software, Total Stations and GNSS/or other software packages
- Driver's License
- White Card
