About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Production Leading Hand to join our team at our Seventeen Mile Rocks facility. This is a physically demanding role that plays a key part in daily production operations and leads a small team of factory staff.
Importantly, this role is designed as a steppingstone to Production Manager, with a clear progression plan over 12–24 months for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and work alongside a team of production staff
- Coordinate and meet daily production and inventory targets
- Operate on all production lines, supporting team as needed
- Oversee quality control processes and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain and clean machinery and factory equipment
- Operate forklifts to move materials and load machines
- Wrap, pack, and prepare pallets for dispatch
- Use power tools for maintenance and production prep
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience as a leading hand or senior line worker in manufacturing
- Precast concrete or concreting experience (essential)
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Mechanically minded with machine maintenance experience
- Confident using email and basic production software
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management
- Physically fit and hands-on
- Available Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm
