Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) Dental Team
We offer a unique opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to servicing the healthcare needs of rural and remote communities across Western Australia.
Many residents in WA's vast regions lack access to regular dental services. RFDS provides free dental care to those facing geographical and socioeconomic barriers through our fly-in fly-out clinics.
About the role
1. Provide emergency, preventative, and general (non-urgent) dental care to children and adults in designated rural and remote locations within WA.
2. Offer oral health advice and education.
3. Refer patients to other services for complex treatments like dentures, crowns, or orthodontics.
About you
* Available to work FIFO for 1-2 weeks at a time.
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Dental Assisting.
* Committed to delivering excellent dental care aligned with industry standards.
* Knowledge of and commitment to infection control standards.
* Adaptable to the evolving needs of remote clinics while adhering to standards.
* Keen problem solver with a proactive approach.
* Technologically adept, familiar with practice management software and databases.
* Experience or interest in working with Indigenous health.
* Remote area dental experience (desirable).
* Current driver's license.

About Us
The RFDS Western Operations aims to provide excellent aeromedical and primary healthcare across WA. Our team contributes to this mission by offering urgent retrievals and primary healthcare services, including GP, nursing, dental, and mental health care, to remote communities. We operate five bases and coordinate complex logistics to serve the furthest corners of the state, working in partnership with government, community, and Aboriginal medical services.
