About the Role
Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, this position is responsible for providing support to various areas within the Logistics function.
Mains responsibilities include but not limited to:-
1. Analyse Dyson’s business operations including logistics and supply chain processes to identify reoccurring problems and/or need for attention/improvement
2. Coordinate and design the development of proper supply chain and logistics solutions as well as logistics management schedules and plans to ensure cost efficiency.
3. Work closely with Planning team and Region Supply Chain to ensure timely transfer of stock between locations
4. Support in the management of stock receipts in coordination with freight forwarders and Dyson’s 3PLs
5. Support in the timely prioritisation of inbound shipping container movements with freight forwarders, clearance agents and 3PLs for the avoidance of OOS
6. Monitor the Inbound and outbound transaction through daily inventory reconciliation and analyse and report Dyson’s performance against KPIs
7. Analyse, validate and summarise monthly logistics, operations and freight costs; investigate and report what’s driving any significant variances to budget
8. Dispute charges where necessary and submit invoices for payment within agreed upon time frame
9. Convert data into clear and cohesive dashboards and provide meaningful commentary or action items where possible
10. Track & trace inbound and outbound shipments and proactively follow up as required to ensure desired service results. Manage shipment exceptions, shipment prioritisation and expedited shipments
11. Resolve logistics/shipping issues with a sense of urgency and support in the management of logistics relevant activities for the implementation of New Product Introductions to ensure stock availability in warehouses at required dates to meet Marketing and Sales launch objectives
12. Perform SAP testing for the logistics function as per company schedule and escalate issues in timely manner wherever needed
13. Maintain data integrity across all internal and external systems
14. Ensure seamless and efficient return of items from owners and retailers and that all direct customer returns are processed within agreed SLA’s
15. Work closely with sales operations team to clear any disputes or errors
16. Plan short term requirements for resource at the 3PL.
17. Generate daily, weekly and monthly reporting and drive daily reporting of results based outcomes.
18. Drive projects through to completion, documents new ways of working.
19. Makes detailed plans with 3PL for short term spikes in expected returns (e.g. Christmas, month ends)
20. Run regular major quality issuer recovery drills with 3PL partner.
About You
The successful candidate will be highly organised and detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and problem solve. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and enjoy working in a team environment.
Previous skills & experience:-
21. Experience and solid understanding of local and international logistics and trade compliance in consumer products
22. Strong systems capabilities, experience in SAP/S4 required
23. Experience working with 3PLs, both warehouse and transport providers
24. Understanding of and experience in reverse logistics
25. Experience and understanding of Import and Export processes
26. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
27. Strong analytical skills, strong in Excel
28. Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management/engagement
