Warehouse – Customer Service

As part of the Rapid Group of companies, Rapid Haulage provides container unpacking, storage and transport of dry goods for a range of local, national, and international clients.
We have built an impressive portfolio of customers and a service range that exceeds most expectations. This includes container packing/unpacking, storage and quarantine/bonded solutions under the management of our Warehouse team across multiple warehousing and distribution facilities. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager this role is based at Rapid Haulage's Largs Bay depot working in a small but wonderful Admin team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role as needed, and the successful applicant will be prepared to actively get involved in a range of operations tasks. Our customers rely upon your attention to detail and thorough processes while the rest of the team will appreciate your good humour and willingness to get the job done. To make things even more interesting, we hold licenses covering quarantine, bonded storage, and fumigation, and have one of Adelaide's largest quarantine wash facilities, so there's no shortage of things to learn and master.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
* Data entry of inventory (goods in and goods out) data as well as transport tasks.
* Review documents from drivers (run sheets) and floor staff (unpack/pack sheets) to capture information that is required for inventory control and invoicing.
* Maintaining effective and consistent administrative service functions that ensure sound business practices, and compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
* Participate in administrative services and process reviews to improve and strengthen internal controls around financial and business processes to increase efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
* Develop an understanding of pricing methodology and ensure that information is captured to allow generation of accurate and complete invoices in a timely manner and sent to Customers.
* Investigate and resolve Customer queries and issues in a timely manner.
* Provide necessary support to other members of the Customer Service team and Warehouse Manager during instances of leave and other occurrences.
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience working in a diverse and fast-paced warehouse or transport environment.
* Strong inventory management skills (through attention to detail), experience with information systems, analytical thinking, and excellent written/verbal communication for a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Training or qualifications in Logistics Management/Operations or similar will be highly regarded.
* Must be able to provide a Police clearance and meet Border Force fit and proper persons background check.
