BEC Engineering is an engineering consultancy that specializes in providing Electrical Engineering services to the mining, materials handling, industrial, utilities and oil & gas industries.Position ScopeThis role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall design, development and implementation capability of the team.The experience we are seeking includes the capability to take on a variety of roles within a project from the design and planning stages right through to finalisation and delivery.Key requirements of the role include:PLC and SCADA systems development and programmingEquipment selection and procurementBench testing and site commissioningWorking unsupervised and in a team environmentA willingness to perform site workSupport to Lead Engineering staffWorking with the electrical, instrumentation and power groups for integrated designWorking to BEC’s safety culture and quality assurance systemsCareer to date should have included;Control system design experience in minerals processing applicationsPLC, HMI and SCADA programming in minerals processing applicationsExperience with Schneider, Rockwell, GE (or similar) PLC and SCADA systemsProgramming device interfaces with communications protocols (such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profibus, Profinet, EthernetIP)Development of functional specifications from P&IDs and design documentationTechnical report writingSoftware simulation, bench testing and FATOn-site integration and commissioning, for green-fields and brown-fields operationsFault finding and diagnostics of operational control systemsExperience working solo and as part of a project teamExperience in a consulting capacityInterfacing with clientsTravel to remote sitesIn addition to the above experience, candidates should have;Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical EngineeringProfessional membership of Institute of Engineers Australia.Un-restricted working rights for Australia.
