The Position
Due to sustained growth and an expanding project pipeline, Habitat is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of the delivery of major residential projects from early works through to completion.
This role is suited to a hands-on leader who is commercially astute, technically strong, and aligned with Habitat's collaborative, no-ego culture.
You will work closely with senior leadership, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for project delivery, including programme, cost, quality, safety, and risk
Lead and manage site-based teams, including Site Managers, Contract Administrators, and consultants
Establish and manage project budgets, cash flow, and cost reporting
Oversee procurement strategy, subcontractor engagement, and contract execution
Drive programme development and management, including mitigation of delays and risks
Manage contractual matters, including variations, EOTs, and commercial negotiations
Chair and lead consultant and Project Cordination meetings
Proactively identify and manage project risks and opportunities
Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and quality requirements
Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders, including Development and Finance teams
Support a positive site culture aligned with Habitat's values

Technical Skills & Experience Required
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering medium to high-rise residential projects
Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management
Experience working for a Head Contractor or Developer-Builder
Proficient in MS Office
Experience with Procore preferred
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and local authority requirements
