This position is classified as a PACS Band 6 ($85,494 - $91,666) under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration system.

A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for a meticulous and experienced Contracts and Procurement Officer to join our busy Procurement team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full time, fixed term contract position of approximately six (6) months, to provide parental leave cover until late November 2026 with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts, the successful individual will work closely alongside a stellar group of like-minded professionals.
As our new Contracts and Procurement Officer you will be responsible for administering the City's procurement and contract management processes. The successful incumbent will provide guidance, systems support and advice to employees to ensure purchasing activities are compliant, efficient, and consistent with the City's policies and procedures. Using your elite interpersonal and technical skills, you will liaise across all teams in the organisation to deliver clear direction, advice, and support on procurement, purchasing, and contract‐related matters.

What You'll Need
* Demonstrated experience in a procurement, contracts or tenders' role
* Strong knowledge of procurement and purchasing practices, including statutory and legal requirements for tendering, contract formation and contract administration.
* Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence others while supporting fairness, transparency and good risk management in procurement.
* Proven analytical and written communication skills, with the capacity to prepare accurate, clear and informative reports, business correspondence, procurement and contractual documentation.
* Excellent initiative and demonstrated capacity to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and work autonomously while knowing when to seek guidance.
* High level computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and financial management systems.
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service through a proactive and positive communication style.
* Possession of a C Class Driver's licence.
