Gain Practical Experience in Chemical Engineering
The 12-week Chemical Engineering Internship Program gives you the chance to apply your academic learning in a professional setting. It’s open to international and domestic students currently based in Australia and is designed to help you gain industry exposure and academic credit.
Why Join This Internship Program?
* Apply your engineering knowledge in a workplace setting
You’ll work on projects aligned with your studies, e.g. such as testing materials, supporting lab operations, or assisting with production workflows. Depending on your host company, you’ll use tools and techniques relevant to chemical or process engineering.
* Understand how the industry functions day to day
By working with experienced professionals, you’ll gain insight into how chemical engineering is practised across various sectors. You'll learn how processes are managed, how standards are applied, and how theory translates into practice.
* Develop essential soft and technical skills
In addition to building your technical skills, you'll strengthen your communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. You'll also gain confidence working in professional environments, learning how to contribute effectively to your host company.
Who Can Apply?
* University students in Australia
If you're currently enrolled in a chemical engineering degree at an Australian university or college, this program can help you complete your internship requirement and gain practical experience relevant to your field.
* Graduates and students without an internship requirement
Even if your course didn’t include an internship, or you've recently graduated, you can still join the program by combining your placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.
