Job Description
The Construction Director will oversee the daily operations of construction delivery, client service, and support functions. They will drive financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profitability across all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of day-to-day business operations, ensuring seamless delivery of construction projects.
* Strategic planning and execution of financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profitability.
* Management of project timeframes, from planning to execution and delivery.
* Leadership in strategic initiatives, process efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Optimization of logistics centre operations, including cabinet inventory management and demand planning.
* End-to-end project execution, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
* Relationship management with contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and clients.
* Effective leadership and mentorship of a team of 7 direct reports.
About You:
As a proactive leader with deep operational expertise and a background in construction, you possess a hands-on approach and strong ability to lead people and manage complex projects.
* 10+ years' experience in senior operations or construction management roles.
* Strong grasp of site operations, building processes, and project execution.
* Experience managing budgets, tracking financial forecasts, and maintaining project profitability.
* Demonstrated success in growing revenue and managing key client relationships.
* Experience in house and land development projects, residential projects, or high-rise residential construction.
* Experience managing cabinet production inventory and coordinating with logistics or warehousing teams.
* Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
