Hours
Hours per fortnight: 73.50 hours per fortnight – flexible options available.
Duties
* Manage and implement security services at the Courts by
* Ensure Court contracted Security Officers meet the operational daily needs of the Courts by effectively managing a state-wide security team
* Manage the ongoing development and execution of appropriate security plans to ensure the safety and security of all Magistrates, Court staff, users of the Courts and the public
* Undertake annual security risk assessments of the Courts to mitigate risks, hazards and threats
* Coordinate the appointments of Security Officers, Supervisors and Managers under the Court Security Act 2017, and ensure compliance and KPIs are met by contracted staff
* Operate and oversee management of the Court's CCTV systems and other operational equipment
* Plan and coordinate all routine building security maintenance around the operational requirements of the Courts
* Plan and coordinate the strategic and operational improvements related to security services in the Courts as required due to relevant legislative changes
* Develop, implement, manage and review Security Operational Procedures (SOP) as required and provide authoritative advice and input regarding the development and management of Court Security policies
* Investigate security incidents and ensure recommended actions are completed and/or referred for formal reporting
* Facilitate regular meetings with state-wide Court managers, security supervisors and the security contractor to discuss operational requirements, training and general service issues
* Engage with relevant external stakeholders including other jurisdictions to improve security services provided to the Courts
* The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications, and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level
