Our client is a well‐established, privately owned organisation based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, with a strong reputation and a clear growth agenda. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive leadership team and play a key role in shaping the organisation's future.
This is a senior strategic leadership position, responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening financial systems and governance, and supporting sustainable long‐term growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the senior leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for the overall financial strategy and governance of the organisation, while maintaining oversight of day‐to‐day financial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overall leadership and management of the finance function
* Development and execution of financial strategy aligned to business growth objectives
* Providing high‐level financial insights to support executive decision‐making
* Partnering with operational leaders to deliver financial analysis and performance insights
* Managing budgeting, forecasting, and long‐term financial planning
* Oversight of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
* Driving improvements in financial systems, reporting, and internal controls
* Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles
* CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent)
* Strong strategic, commercial, and analytical capability
* Proven experience implementing financial systems and processes to support business growth
* Experience working with ERP systems and financial data reporting tools
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
