The Opportunity
Our Projects and Energy Transition team seeks a senior associate to join us in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pivot into the energy space and work across renewable and energy transition projects globally, in addition to market‐leading infrastructure, construction and transport projects.
Ashurst's Projects & Energy Transition team delivers projects through timely, innovative, and commercially astute legal solutions across the transport, infrastructure, energy, resources, and construction sectors. The role involves advising the government and private sector on complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring the highest standard of service with a full lifecycle, "cradle to grave", approach.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A Bachelor of Laws and 5 + years post‐admission experience, ideally in private practice or in‐house; experience or interest in energy, infrastructure, construction and transport projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and well‐developed analytical skills.
* Ability to be team‐focused while also working independently.
* A proactive, positive and energetic approach, a commitment to excellent service, and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
