Senior Civil Engineer - Water

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Water to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. You will have experience in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines, with previous tasks including the review of design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modelling, oversight of drafting and the preparation of reports and specifications.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist knowledge, technical review, advice and technical leadership in your area of expertise.
* Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, delivering practical and economical solutions for clients.
* Build strong client relationships and demonstrate your ability to understand our clients’ core business.
About You
* Outstanding communication skills, able to influence and drive successful project outcomes.
* Experience delivering projects as part of multi-disciplinary and multi-office project teams.
* Passion for the water sector with significant experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or hydraulic and conveyance design; knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes. Experience managing medium to large engineering design projects with a commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems.
Key Requirements
* Holding a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences.
* Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires.
* Capability to write successful bids for existing and new clients.
