We are looking for a Store Manager to join our store network in Bendigo. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving the store's success through profitability, excellent service, and merchandising, while maintaining safe work practices, coaching staff, and fostering a positive store culture.
A day in the life...
1. Develop and implement measures to achieve sales and profit targets.
2. Manage store budget, including expenses such as labor, inventory, and profit margins.
3. Build strong relationships with trade and retail customers to promote sales and service.
4. Maintain high store standards, including stock replenishment, visual displays, campaigns, and merchandising.
5. Enhance customer satisfaction through product and store experience.
6. Recruit, onboard, and coach new team members.
7. Schedule and manage staff through feedback, motivation, coaching, and development.
8. Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety procedures.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
10. Manage inventory levels and stock adjustments to meet demand and seasonal changes.
Your prerequisites:
1. Previous retail management experience with a strong desire to succeed.
2. Proven experience in leading and managing a trustworthy team.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for developing internal and external relationships.
4. Organizational skills to delegate tasks effectively.
5. Experience servicing both trade and retail customers and growing a business.
6. Financial acumen, including understanding P&L reports, inventory management, and expense control.
7. Driver's license and ability to perform manual tasks, e.g., lifting 15L cans of paint.
8. Ability to handle conflict and work under pressure.
9. Leadership skills to build and develop a strong team.
