About the Role
You will use your mechanical engineering expertise to deliver practical engineering solutions across our hydropower network.
This site-based role gives you the opportunity to apply your skills in the field, where you'll be part of the action, working directly with assets, contractors, and project teams.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Providing technical guidance and design support for refurbishment and maintenance programs.
* Traveling regularly to hydropower stations across Tasmania to support project delivery.
* Reviewing and contributing to engineering documentation, reports, and standards.
* Solving real-time technical challenges and supporting commissioning, inspection, and defect resolution.
* Collaborating closely with project managers, production staff, and delivery teams on-site.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Professional engineering qualifications (eligible for Engineers Australia membership).
* Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, including NDT methods, FEA and CAD, welding inspection, and hydraulic systems.
* A proven background in asset management, refurbishing rotating machinery, and procurement.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to values-based decision-making.
