Location: Australia (remote) – open to Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra

Reports to: Lead Regional Compliance Specialist – APAC

About our team

We are a dynamic, dedicated team that provides management and support for a global guarding services account that spans across 30+ countries. Our client is an industry‐leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves in delivering best‐in‐class solutions through our teams made up of Security Operations, Business Operations, Shared Services, Threat and Incident Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Human Resources. As part of this team, you'll work alongside a group of professionals that are committed to excellence and innovation in a fast‐paced, matrixed environment.

About the role

The Regional Compliance Specialist provides programmatic oversight to datacenter physical security compliance. The role will be responsible for facilitating, monitoring, and documenting procedures, processes, and overall compliance related to security officer services. The role is highly collaborative and requires significant interaction and dependency on other work groups to execute field activities in support of the compliance program.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with datacenter security operations and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. You will identify risks and implement solutions to strengthen controls, while providing clear and timely findings and recommendations on escalated or high‐risk issues. The position involves communicating written expectations and educating business partners on the impact of compliance, as well as assisting in the development and delivery of training programs. You will organize meetings and webinars to share information, support projects that improve workflows and operational efficiency, and help schedule and complete compliance evaluations. Additionally, you will maintain a customer‐focused approach to problem solving, working closely with clients and program managers to address contract compliance and risk assessments.

What you need to apply

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, law, or a related field—or equivalent experience—is required, as well as intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint. Candidates need to be detail‐oriented and proactive, with strong organisational and communication skills. You will be a standout applicant if you have experience supporting an operations team in a datacenter environment and ISO 9001 or ISO 27001 certification.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem‐solving abilities, time management, and adaptability in a fast‐paced, detail‐oriented environment. You should be comfortable handling multiple tasks concurrently, exercising sound judgment, and collaborating effectively across diverse teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to thrive under pressure are key.

Must hold a high‐school diploma or GED and have a valid passport along with reliable communication and transportation. Fluency in English is essential, and you should be willing to complete pre‐employment screening, including drug testing and background checks.

This role also requires the physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions, including travelling up to 30% to support compliance programmes and working for extended periods on a computer.

The extra stuff

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right to work in Australia. A valid passport or the ability to obtain a passport immediately is essential. Candidates must also be willing to undergo the company's pre‐employment screening process, which includes a background check and drug screening.

What you'll get

We offer more than just a job — we offer the chance to be part of a supportive, collaborative team where your growth and contributions truly matter. In this role, you'll thrive in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment while working on a prestigious multinational client account, giving you firsthand exposure to global operations and cross‐regional collaboration. Beyond day‐to‐day, you'll enjoy opportunities to travel both locally and internationally. We're committed to employee development, with access to continuous learning, training programs, and career growth pathways designed to help you succeed and advance.
