We are seeking an experienced Senior Dietitian to join our Move to Improve team and provide evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services to patients in the program at an advanced level.

Embedded within the PCH Dietetics Department, you will be a key member of the Move to Improve multidisciplinary allied health and research team. You will provide comprehensive dietetic support to assist children and adolescents with chronic health conditions to achieve their physical activity goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Planning, implementing, and evaluating dietetic services in the Move to Improve program;
* Developing and participating in evidence-based clinical research activities and quality improvement.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a tertiary qualification in Dietetics and be eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).

Experience working with children and adolescents with chronic conditions will be highly regarded.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents with chronic conditions, we invite you to apply. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure to a multidisciplinary research project, contributing to evidence-based clinical research activities.

About Move to Improve

Move to Improve is a new service at Perth Children's Hospital designed to support children and adolescents living with chronic conditions—including cancer, type 1 diabetes, cerebral palsy, and burns-related injuries—to increase their participation in physical activity.

By integrating physical activity into clinical care within a research framework, Move to Improve aims to break down barriers faced by children and their families, offering accessible, evidence-based, and sustainable opportunities to stay active and improve long-term health and wellbeing.

Developed in collaboration with consumers, researchers, and health professionals, the service is delivered by a multidisciplinary team—including exercise physiologists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists—who work alongside children and young people to set and achieve personal physical activity goals

This 5 year research project has been made possible through funding from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and Perth Children's Hospital Foundation, with support from Principal Partner Mineral Resources Limited via Channel 7 Telethon Trust, Amazon, Globe BD and the WA community.
