About YOUR new job:
The Cost Accountant will be a key business partner in decision-making for the development of new products, value optimisation, and margin performance across all current and future products. They will play a pivotal role in the organisation, being responsible for product costings and the analysis of performance to production standards.
The core tasks aligned to this position will include:
1. Developing and maintaining a costing model and standard costings in the system
2. Reviewing and analysing standard costs vs actual performance and initial costings.
3. Working closely with the commercial and research and development teams to design costings and carry out pressure testing/sensitivity analysis for new and existing products in development.
4. Advising the Finance Team on all new and existing product development changes to be reflected in the forecasting and budgeting models
5. Preparation of monthly variance reports with commentary to assist in the delivery of monthly management and board reporting
6. Preparation of monthly forecasts and yearly budgets
7. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business
About YOU
1. 3+ years experience working in a Financial, Cost or Management Accounting position with demonstrated problem solving ability
2. CA/CPA qualified or part-way through with a desire to complete
3. You are analytically minded who's eager to grow in their career
4. You're a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team. This role will see you out from behind your desk and directly involved in the operations of this fast-paced and large-scale production business.
5. Ability to work autonomously in high-pressure environments.
