The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic
Ophthalmic Product Specialist
to join our Sydney-based team, supporting our valued customer network throughout New South Wales.
This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for a motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in an autonomous environment. You'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and collaborating closely with our Service and Operations teams to deliver outstanding solutions and support.
Your Responsibilities
* Promote and sell our full range of ophthalmic and optometry instruments.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare professionals.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
* Understand customer needs and provide expert product support, demonstrations, and training.
* Gather market insights and customer feedback to inform product management and development.
* Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
About you
* Proven success in sales, preferably in the
ophthalmic/optometry or medical device industry
* Strong understanding of the ophthalmic/optometry market and its key players
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work autonomously
* Computer literate and proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
* Strong planning skills and well organised
* Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of customer in changing business conditions
