**Overview**:
The department is looking for a hands-on Solution Designer to provide low-level technical solution for large, complex corporate systems that facilitate the achievement of the Department's core business through the use of process and technology. The Solution Designer provides sound, technical and professional advice to the role supervisor, and actively contributes to solutioning, hands-on development, planning, system documentation and reporting.

- 6 month contract
- Flexible WFH arrangement - 1 day a week at the Eveleigh office
- Ability to pass a WWCC and background check
- Role consists of 75% Application/programming 25% Infrastructure
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert advice and technical solution in large scale enterprise technologies and working experience in Agile frameworks and DevOps culture.
- Provide expertise and guidance to the team across API development and AWS cloud concepts.
- Analyse technical problems and identify solutions to solve problems in a highly complex integrated landscape.
- Design, implement (handson-development) and evaluate IT solutions, processes, components, and programs.
- Able to take accountability of solution and drive the development team
- Be able to review the code developed per the solution and identify impediments
**Skills - desirable**:
- Demonstrated experience in lead capacity and be able to drive a team, towards technical solutioning.
- Demonstrated experience in large scale enterprise technologies and to be able to solution as necessary.
- Significant knowledge in design, programming and testing of an object-oriented programming language [J2EE/Java 8, JBoss, SOA & Web Service Standards, sprint boot, microservices, Kafka, Elastic, VueJs/react Js (preferably Vue)].
- Demonstrated experience working on databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Sound knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL. Write and validate complex SQL queries.
- Past experience in end to end technical development as a senior developer.
**Experience**:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in AWS Elastic and API based software development environments with at least 3 years in technical solutioning capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in solutioning as per the architecture.
- Experience with Bamboo, Git, JBoss Oracle, SQL Server.
- Experience with integration data standards, data integration concepts and Splunk in a highly integrated environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with quality team to fix the defects and deploy in appropriate environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with CI/CD engineer.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile framework reporting to the Iteration Manager and ITPM.
