Overview

Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is a high quality, independent, Anglican, co-educational P-12 school serving the southern Gold Coast, Tweed Coast and northern New South Wales regions. You will contribute to the academic and personal development of students in their language learning journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students across various year groups, fostering a passion for language and culture.

This is a one year fixed-term position commencing in January 2026.

The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, based on the teaching salaries outlined in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 ($90,100 - $127,281).

Key Responsibilities

- Planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitoring student progress through data analysis and assessment outcomes, using this information to inform teaching practices and interventions.
- Encouraging an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and nurtures creativity and appreciation of the power of languages among students.
- Liaising with parents, carers and guardians to promote understanding of the importance of education in languages other than English.

Required Skills

- An innovative educator who inspires the next generation of global citizens through the power of language.
- Proficiency in the Spanish language, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Languages syllabus documents and assessment strategies.
- Demonstrated excellence and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using educational technology and digital resources.

Required Experience

- Previous experience teaching Spanish at a secondary level in a formal educational setting.
- Appropriate Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
